Retreat Work Trades
Worktrades available for
Guardians of Eden Retreat and Ethnobotanical Symposium
Assitance is needed updating the Art of Union plant database, before and after the retreat
Participants will be responsible for
- uploading plant database to website and adding pictures
- printing out and laminating plant ID labels
- fashioning durable stands to display labels.
Knowledge of Excel required, and knowledge of php (drupal) a bonus (but not required)
Participants will learn many of the plants we will encounter on the retreat
Much of the work can and should be done before coming down to costa rica
Particpants are required to arrive at least two weeks early at the Diamante Verde Sanctuary
in order to complete preparations before the retreat, and and stay one week after the reatreat update new finds.
One Partial Worktrade ($400 reduction) - Construct hand crafted Tree ID signs
We are looking for someone with experience in woodwok to focalize the construction of roughly 300 tree ID Signs out of scrap hard wood. Signs may be carved or etched with a dremmel tool, stained, and preserved.
Particpant will be given tools and a group of volunteers to focalize to complete the project.
Particpants are required to arrive at least two weeks early at the Diamante Verde Sanctuary
in order to complete preparations before the retreat, and and stay one week after the reatreat update new finds.
Partial Worktrade ($300 reduction) - Build a Solar Dehydrator at Diamante Verde Sanctuary
We are looking for someone with carptentry skills to come two weeks prior to the retreat and build a free-standing solar dehydrator according to our design plans.
Particpant is required to arrive at least two weeks early at the Diamante Verde Sanctuary
in order to complete preparations before the retreat

Devotional Retreats
For thousands of years this sacred mountain and the cave at Diamante Verde Sanctuary has been the destination of people coming to seek silence, peace, equanimity and healing from the sacred waters. While we have uplifted the facilities and staff to embrace a wide range of people , we still honor the sacred essence of these lands to receive earth's children who come to pray and meditate in the womb of the earth
.
In honoring this pursuance of truth, we have created the Devotional Private Retreats for those who come bringing a grounded practice of devotion, meditation, or other daily practice to share with the spirit of the mountain. These nature of these retreats varies widely and we therefore choose to discuss options with groups on an individual basis. Dharma Retreats are available when the cave is open to receive.
Plant Lovers Peak to Sea Pilgrimage
Due to the success of our annual Guardians of Eden retreat and in recognition of the growing number of botanical enthusiasts, we have created a private version of this epic "Plant lovers Peak to Sea Pilgrimage"
In this 7-day retreat your group (4-13 people) will be met early in the morning in San Jose, and taken to the Ark Herb Farm where you will meet Tin, your guide for an introduction into tropical medicinal plants, from there we will journey to the top of Cerro del Muerte for a 2-day exploration of the beautiful highland (paramo) plants with Saty Seele as your guide.
Leaving the highlands we will travel to the top of the Tinamaste mountains and there we will travel by foot through the pristine frontier of the Diamante Verde Sanctuary, and arrive at the Cathedral de Piedra where we will be joined by Marcos del Mante who will guide us through the diverse botanical treasures of our wilderness sanctuary.

The school of life focus sessions are designed specifically for our private evolutionary retreats to offer you the opportunity to truly awaken your highest potential. Through these 2-3 hour focus sessions we will share the self-mastery skills necessary to deepen your holistic awakening experience while uniting all aspects of life.
We currently offer focus sessions in the following school of life themes : Higher limbs yoga. Lovarian nutrition/cleansing, Permaculture, Plant wisdom, adventure activities, conscious community living, and conscious creative cultivation. Each theme is divided into specific focus session topics listed below. Some of the focus session topics are brief and can be shared in one session while others are in-depth, requiring years of study.
